We are delighted to announce the first stable release of FINAM: Version 1.0 🎉

FINAM is an open-source, component-based model coupling framework designed for environmental modeling. It enables seamless, bi-directional online coupling of models across different environmental compartments such as geo-, hydro-, pedo-, and biosphere.

FINAM 0.5 released

Around half a year after the release of FINAM 0.4.0, we are pleased to announce version 0.5.

This release is focussed on supporting masked data and on improved grid usability.

FINAM 0.4 released

After more than three months of hard work since the last release, FINAM 0.4 comes with a full load of new features and usability improvements. This version is a real breakthrough in the development of FINAM!

Highlights are a new scheduling algorithm, grid data types, automatic metadata and units handling, more flexible exchange during initialization, and a completely reworked documentation.

Documentation update & redesign

In preparation of the FINAM 0.4 release, the complete documentation was reworked. Of course, the docs are up to date with the code now, but there is more: Everything is in one place, structure and layout were improved, and the FINAM Book and the API reference are heavily cross-referenced.
